The surface
is the asset
A material is a few hundred bytes of SVG that lives in a contract. Any collection can wear it, on artwork it was never authored for. Every collection that wears yours pays you.
Any art.
Any material.
A material is authored blind and never sees what it will land on. Pick a shape, pick a surface. Nothing below was drawn for anything else below.
One mint.
Many collections.
A material is not art with a picture attached. It is the instruction for a surface, applied to somebody else's artwork at the moment that artwork is read.
The material goes on chain as a string of SVG. No image file, no metadata server, no pin that can be repointed later.
A collection binds the material once, cheaply. From that call on, every token it mints is wearing that surface.
Nothing is baked. Every token composes at read time, so the artwork stays the collection's and the surface stays yours.
Every token minted while wearing your material pays you a cut, alongside the Pons bank. Own Fire and you earn from every collection that burns, for as long as it mints.
Every surface
so far.
None of these is a drawing. Fire is a silhouette blurred, torn upward by noise and tinted. Chrome is a gradient whose dark band is the ground and whose white band is the sky.
Bind, settle,
get paid.
Everything the registry does, from here. Your wallet signs every transaction, nothing is custodial, and no address you type is stored anywhere.
Your collection wears the material from its next render on. You have to be its owner, or be the collection itself.
Pay for tokens minted while bound. Fall behind and the surface comes off until you catch up. Anyone can settle a collection, not just its owner.
A material you own is not for sale until you put a price on it. Zero takes it off the market again.
What collections have paid you for wearing your materials. It accrues in the registry and waits until you claim it.
Mint the surface,
not the picture.

The material
is the position.
Binding is cheap. The money is in the minting: every token minted while wearing a material pays a small fee, split between whoever holds it and the Pons bank. So a material does not earn once per collection, it earns for as long as that collection keeps minting.
That makes holding one closer to owning a component with a royalty than to owning a picture. The art stays with the collection. The surface is the part that trades, and the part that pays.
These eighteen are on chain and the registry renders them itself. A collection is already bound to Fire and minting through it, so every part of this has run with real money on the real chain. The registry is permissionless, so anyone may add their own alongside them.
